TYMON PARK NORTH

Embankment works have been completed with reinstatement and landscaping works to be carried out in Q1 2025 when the access route will be re-opened.

TYMON PARK

Embankments

E03 – Limekiln Rd Car Park to Lakes

This embankment was completed in June 2024

E04 – Embankment at North West of Lakes

This embankment was completed in June 2024

E05 – Main Embankment at Lakes

This embankment is 85% complete with the main earthworks to be completed in early January 2025. When the earthworks have been completed, the landscaping element will commence which includes the replanting of trees, reseeding of the areas affected by construction and the reinstatement of the pedestrian access routes.

Flow Control Structure

The concrete works on the FCS are complete and the screen inlet works will commence in January. This will be followed by the installation of safety rails and the completion of the access manholes.

Integrated Constructed Wetland

The works are 90% complete with landscaping scheduled to be completed in Q1 2025.

Based on the above it is currently expected that access to the areas of the park affected will gradually re-open from Q2 2025.

WHITEHALL/WAINSFORT

The works have commenced in the Wainsfort area with the haul road from Templeville Rd recently completed and the compound to be installed in Wainsfort Manor Green in Q1 2025.

The required tree and vegetation removal along the riverbank in Wainsfort, at the rear of the Whitehall Rd properties and at the Badminton Centre will commence on week starting January 6th with flood defence works at the rear of the Whitehall Rd properties and at the Badminton Centre to commence once the trees and vegetation have been removed. The works at the rear of Glendale will commence in Q3 2025 as these are in-stream works and can only be carried out during July to September.

We have strived to reduce the number of trees to be removed which has resulted in a number of trees being saved, most notably along Wainsfort Manor Crescent.

The works in Wainsfort are expected to 12 months to complete the defences along with 4 months to complete the landscaping.

RAVENSDALE PARK

The works in Ravensdale Park will commence in 2025 with tree and vegetation removal currently scheduled to be carried out in mid to late February and flood defence works to be commence in April.

It is also proposed to host a Pre-Construction Information Event in the Ravensdale area at the end of January where we would hope to have details of our draft landscaping and finishes plans for the park. Details of the Information Event will be confirmed in early January and will be advertised through local representatives, email group, social media and with a leaflet drop.

All tree removal proposals within the park can be found in the Project Information Page under Appendix 4 of the Significant Additional Information that was submitted to An Bord Pleanala on 29th April 2022.

ST MARTINS DRIVE

Works are currently expected to commence here in Q1 2026. An option has been developed here that will decrease the amount of tree removal that was originally envisaged.

We hope that this gives you an idea of the amount of work that has been completed and when works in your respective areas will commence.

We like to take this opportunity to thank everyone we have met throughout 2024 and for all the assistance they have provided to the scheme, its been invaluable.

We fully understand that the works have been an inconvenience but as a result of the works completed since May 2024, instant flood relief benefit will be provided to properties from future rainfall events when the flow control structure in Tymon Park comes into operation in Q1 2025.
